Welcome to our clubs
Leave dementia at the door and enjoy a day of camaraderie, stimulation and fun.
What happens at the clubs
A full day out in a supportive, stimulating environment is hugely beneficial to people living with dementia and provides a real break for family carers.
Our four clubs in Wiltshire are vibrant, happy places where members are helped to pursue their own interests and maintain social skills in a friendly and supportive atmosphere.
They are run by specialist staff and trained volunteers who focus on the person rather than the dementia. Boosting confidence, building relationships and creating opportunities for meaningful social engagement are at the heart of their ethos.

Our four clubs in Wiltshire
Each club has its own personality
Walk through the door at any of our day clubs are know you are in a unique environment. After all, the members who set the tone are all different.
Yet there are similarities. Each club has an informal atmosphere, small group sizes (with the same people each day of the week) and high staff and volunteer ratios to allow members real choice in how they spend their time.
Club members can join in small group activities, pursue hobbies that they enjoy, or just enjoy their own time in the company of others - all in a safe, friendly and unpressured environment.
A nutritious, home-cooked meal is a focal point of the day and whoever feels like it can help with the preparations.

A steady stream of visitors
Our excellent links with our local communities mean there are always a steady stream of visitors of all ages and walks of life.
Musicians are particularly welcome and we have frequent visits from small groups or individuals - dancing is not compulsory but often irresistible.
Younger people are also often in the clubs. We have regular links with local primary and secondary schools - the relationships and mutual learning between the generations is lovely to see. And of course our volunteer therapy dogs are much loved members of the team.
