Fundraising ideas
There are SO many ways to raise much-needed funds for Beyond Dementia
When it comes to fundraising the important thing is to choose something you'll enjoy doing - and the possibilities are endless.
Our top tip is to involve the people who can help make your fundraising a success - and fun at the same time. There is nothing more bonding than coming together in a good cause.
Let us know what you're doing and if you'd like help to get started. Our fundraisers Rachel and Alex can help you set up a fundraising page, provide collecting tins and other resources and support you every step of the way. Contact the team
Your cause, your way
If you are looking for something you can do yourself, why not brave the shave like Sarah, or take on a fancy-dress challenge. You could sell items you have crafted yourself at a village fete, or go to a car boot sale and pass on the proceeds.
Big birthday or anniversary coming up? Why not ask for donations in lieu of presents and cards. And one of the easiest way to support us it to raise free donations as you shop online with Easyfundraising

Bring your community together
Get the community spirit flowing by holding a bake sale or running a stall at a village fete. Why not hold a local talent show for all ages and test your magician skills, like our young fundraiser Oli! Or ask about our branded Communi-TEAs, a lovely way to get neighbours and friends together.
Natural organiser? Why not run a charity quiz night, auction of promises or bingo night - local pubs and businesses are often happy to support your efforts in a good cause.

Be the host with the most
Parties can be a great opportunity to have a great time and fundraise while you do. Why not host a bingo night for friends, or battle it out at karaoke. You could even hold a funky fashion show or test your detective skills with a murder mystery evening.

Get sporty
If you have an active lifestyle, or just like a challenge, sport can be a great way to fundraise. You could run a football tournament, organise a swimathon or boogie your heart out in a danceathon. In a local club or group? Get them involved too.
Or, if you are looking for a personal challenge, check out our challenge events page.

Get work or school involved
Why not involve your workmates or school? You could oganise a treasure hunt, sponsored silence or bake sale. Or get everyone to pull on their jeans for a Denim4Dementia mufti day.
If your school or business would like to find out more about dementia, we can offer a one-hour Understanding Dementia workshop. Get in touch to find out more about how we can work together.

Join an event
If you are looking to join in, rather than run a fundraiser, why not volunteer at one of our stalls at events across Wiltshire. We regularly host our own events, so get in touch to see what's coming up.
Or take part in our own Walk to Remember sponsored walk, held twice a year in north and south Wiltshire. It's a brilliant day out for the whole family.

Discover Denim 4Dementia
Every February we ask people in Wiltshire to don the denim. Denim-themed mufti days in schools, workplaces, community choirs, or anywhere that likeminded groups get together, are great fun and a brilliant way to come together in a great cause.
We can supply everything you need to get started, from D4D bunting to invitations to personalise. Request your D4D pack
