Ken's story
In 2024 Ken was diagnosed with cerebral amyloid angiopathy which leads to vascular dementia.
His daughter writes: "Ken's life has changed so much and sometimes it is difficult to manage but Beyond Dementia, a local charity based in Devizes, make his life better and provide much needed love and support.
"He attends their day club twice a week, goes out with a support worker on a Wednesday afternoon and enjoys outings on a Monday morning with the 'Muddy Boots' activity group. Ken enjoys all of these activities and is supported and made to feel safe and welcome. He always comes home with a smile on his face afterwards.
"When discussing his birthday Ken was really keen that instead of gifts, people donate to this amazing charity who offer so much support to so many families like ours."
Ken's family and friends responded with great generosity raising more than £1,000 for the charity.
