For Professionals

How we work with health and social care colleagues across Wiltshire to deliver high-quality support for people living with dementia and family carers.

Working with others

We value our partnerships and collaboratively with other organisations to achieve the best outcomes for people living with dementia.

We also work closely with Age UK Wiltshire and other partners to support unpaid carers; from carrying out carers assessments to signposting local services.

We are proud to be part of the Carers Together Wiltshire and Voice It Hear It consortiums providing support to family carers and opportunities for feedback on services.

Working with local health services

Each of our dementia advisers is linked to a regional group of GP surgeries, and many are embedded in their local communities. We welcome direct referrals from GPs and surgery staff for people newly diagnosed with dementia.

We play an active role in Wiltshire’s Dementia Strategy, sitting on dementia delivery teams at acute hospitals and working in partnership across the county and the wider south-west.

Working together to connect clients to services

Our dementia advisers connect clients with a wide range of local services, from occupational therapy and mental health support to chiropody, diet, and nutrition advice.

If you work in any of these areas and would like to collaborate, please contact our dementia adviser manager.

Find training for your team

At Beyond Dementia, we believe that everyone who works with people living with dementia has the power to make a positive difference. Our Training for Professionals programme offers insightful, evidence-based learning designed to deepen understanding, sharpen skills, and cultivate empathy.

Whether you’re new to dementia care or looking to strengthen your existing knowledge, our sessions help you appreciate the experience of those affected, learn best-practice approaches, and build confidence in delivering person-centred support.
