Walking Boots - Kennet

Walking Boots - Kennet

Walking Boots is a friendly, welcoming walking group inspired by our popular Muddy Boots sessions. Designed for people living with dementia and their carers, Walking Boots focuses on gentle walking, fresh air and enjoying Wiltshire’s beautiful landscapes together.

What to expect

We meet on alternate Mondays and head out for relaxed walks of up to 1.5 miles, taking time to notice nature along the way – changing seasons, birdsong, open skies and quiet moments outdoors. Walking is the main focus, with conversation and shared experiences flowing naturally as an added bonus.

There’s no pressure to keep up or to talk – participants are welcome to walk at their own pace and simply enjoy being outside. At the end of each walk, we come together to relax with tea and treats, rounding off the morning in good company.

Walking Boots runs whatever the weather, unless conditions are genuinely unsafe. Please come dressed for the day and ready to enjoy the outdoors.

Whether you’re already part of Muddy Boots or new to our community, Walking Boots offers a simple, enjoyable way to keep moving, connect with others and enjoy the natural world together.

Walking Boots is supported by trained volunteers.

The group will meet at different locations across east Wiltshire. Details will be provided by the group facilitator in advance of the session and are also available on request.
