Join a friendly group, explore nature and take part in craft activities at our Muddy Boots group for East Wiltshire.
The group meets on the 2nd and 4th Monday mornings of the month at Kennet Valley Hall, Lockeridge, with some meetings taking place 'on location' at friendly farms in East Wiltshire. We also enjoy outings as a group to local gardens with recent trips including Avebury Manor Gardens and sculpture trail and Bowood House and Gardens - always a treat!
What to expect
Activities include gardening projects, craft activities indoors, outdoor walks and interacting with animals. No prior experience of any of these things is necessary and people will be working at their own pace - or just enjoying being in the great outdoors!
The groups are run in partnership with people who know the countryside best - from farm based projects to social enterprises specialising in community garden projects.

Whether it is landscape gardening, working with plants or observing wildlife, everyone takes part at their own pace, and we know that some will prefer to just enjoy being out of doors in the company of others. Most groups have indoor spaces for refreshments and craft activities but all run in all weathers!
The groups give people living with dementia and a family carer the opportunity to interact with the natural environment, gain a sense of achievement and make new friends. No experience is needed to take part, although it will be particularly beneficial to people who have enjoyed outdoor work and gardening in the past. The groups are supported by trained volunteers.
