How we are governed

Beyond Dementia is governed and strengthened by a skilled and highly motivated Board of Trustees, the vast majority with personal or professional experience of caring for someone with dementia.

Day to day, the charity is run by a team of experienced operational managers under the leadership of Chief Executive Sarah Marriott. We employ around 130 staff and value the great contribution of more than 200 volunteers. Our patron is the Marchioness of Lansdowne.

Our mission

Beyond Dementia is committed to the provision of a range of flexible, specialist services, which give people with dementia and their carers real choice, whilst maintaining as much independence and control over their lives as possible.

Working with others

We value our partnerships and collaboratively with other organisations to achieve the best outcomes for people living with dementia.

We are proud to be part of the Carers Together Wiltshire and Voice It Hear It consortiums providing support to family carers and opportunities for feedback on services.

Carers Together Wiltshire

Beyond Dementia is part of Carers Together Wiltshire which offers a broad range of support to unpaid family carers. These include carer assessments, activities, respite, advice, counselling, coaching, training and support (including peer-support).

Voice It Hear It

Voice It, Hear It, is a collaboration of organisations. Together it unifies the collective strength of its partners to support the voice and engagement of people in Wiltshire.

Working with communities

We work with communities across Wiltshire, providing information, training and specialist support to enhance local initiatives on dementia awareness.

We work alongside family carers, providing information and emotional support throughout the course of the illness.

We work alongside the people we support, and actively include their ideas and feedback in everything we do.
